Donors or the agencies themselves can set-up funds the benefit the organizations. Non-profits can use the yearly distributions to help with operating costs or program costs. Children at the YMCA benefit from a fund for Operations and for Youth programming.

Local children enjoy the Greensburg Public Library Reading Program. The donor advisor for the Wickens Library Fund helped to fund this program. A donor advised fund allows donors to fund different programs(or charities if set up appropriately). Donor advised funds give families the opportunity to have their children or grandchildren participate in the choices of giving the funds.

Funds can be established to support specific purposes like art or education. The Fund for Recreational Opportunities for Individuals with Special Needs provides financial support to organizations providing those services.
