Scholarships
The following scholarships are managed through the Decatur County Community Foundation. More information and applications can be found in the Decatur County Community Foundation scholarship application, which is available at the Foundation office or at the Guidance office of Decatur County High Schools, at the end of January.

Attie M. Austin Memorial Scholarship
The mission of this scholarship is to help students seeking vocational training.
Joanie Bostic Memorial Senior Pirate Spirit Award
Established to honor Joanie Bostic’s spirit, faith, love of young people and enthusiasm for Greensburg athletics. The scholarship is to recognize a senior who shows outstanding school spirit by participation or support of athletics or music.
Rev. Robert L. Browning Memorial Fund
This award shall be given annually to any student from Decatur County seeking a career in the ministry or a social or human service organization or a student planning on attending Anderson University.
Holly Bruns Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship honors the life and spirit of Holly
Bruns. For any South Decatur Volleyball or Softball player planning to attend Marian College. Not available until 2012.
Kristin Lee Burry Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship is pending.
Clifford Byard Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship is for any graduate of South Decatur High School pursuing a 2 or 4 year degree in engineering, music or education.
J-N-J Chapman Scholarship
The mission of this scholaship is for a ND/SD student seeking additional training for vocational or associates degree - preference to renewal student/HS senior/or any past graduate.
Bob Clark Memorial Scholarship
The mission of this scholarship is to help students seeking a post-secondary education in criminology or law enforcement.
Stewart G. Corya Purdue University Engineering Scholarship
The mission of this scholarship is to support a student graduating in the top 15% of their class and will be seeking an engineering degree at Purdue.
Thelma E. Corya Indiana University Kelley School of Business Scholarship
The mission of this scholarship is to support a student graduating in the top 10% of their class and will be seeking a business degree at Indiana University.
John T. Deniston Ball State Scholarship
This scholarship is for a graduating senior of South Decatur High School with a "B" average that will be pursuing a post-secondary degree at Ball State's Miller College of Business. Student must show financial need, have parents employed in the field of agriculture.
Danny Dieckmann Memorial Scholarship
The mission of this scholarship is to help any
student that is or has graduated from North Decatur and is pursuing a 2 or 4 year degree in agriculture or a related field of study.
Arnold D. Ducanes, MD Scholarship
The mission of this scholarship is to help students seeking training in the field of Allied Health.
Krista Eldridge Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship is for a North Decatur or Greensburg student with a GPA of 2.5 or above, pursuing any post-secondary education. Preference given to those going to Purdue or those pursuing a major in Human and Social Services. (Award will be paid at start of second semester.)
Henry and Ruby Ernstes Family Scholarships
The mission of this scholarship is to help students with post-secondary education. Preference given to those attending Marian College and majoring in nursing.
Martha L. Frost Scholarship
This scholarship is open to Greensburg High School students pursuing a degree in art.
GCHS Class of 1941 & 1942 Scholarship
This scholarship is set to help a vocational or 2 year degree student that is a graduating student from Greensburg Community High School.
GCHS Class of 1961 Scholarship
This scholarship will help the 61st student at Greensburg Community High school attend college.
Joyce J. Green Memorial Scholarship
The mission of this scholarship is to support a student pursing a degree at a 2 or 4 year institution.
William H. Griewe Scholarship
This scholarship is for any student who has graduated from a school in Decatur County. It is awarded by the Optimist Club.
Paul and Eleanor Hoffman Memorial Scholarship
The mission of this scholarship is to help a Greensburg graduate in their second through fourth year of study, if they had received a DCCF scholarship as a freshman.
Steve Hunter Memorial Scholarship
The mission of this scholarship is to help students seeking vocational training.
Delmar & Janet Knecht Family Memorial Scholarship
The mission of this scholarship is to support a student pursing a 2 or 4 year degree, who has a B average or above.
Knights of Columbus, Council 1042 Scholarship
Is established to help a student who is the child of a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 1042.
Lake Santee Women's Club Scholarship
The mission of this scholarship is to support a student who is a full time resident of Lake Santee intending on pursuing any post-secondary education.
Burney and Lucy Lehman Scholarship
The Burney and Lucy Lehman Scholarships will be given to students in the Greensburg and Decatur County School systems; disbursed for up to four years of post-secondary education. The intent of the scholarship is to make a significant impact on graduating seniors who may have had a difficult time attending a post-secondary school.
Campbell “Buck” McIntyre Scholarship
The mission of this scholarship is to help South Decatur students seeking post-secondary training in secondary education, science or agriculture science. (Award will be paid at start of sophomore year of college.)
Diane Reynolds Memorial Scholarship
The mission of this scholarship is to help a South Decatur student seeking a post-secondary education and demonstrates the spirit and work ethic of Mrs. Reynolds.
Clifford "Skip" Ricke Memorial Scholarship
The scholarship is for a Decatur County resident pursuing a degree in agriculture or a related field.
Roscoe Family Scholarship
This scholarship is for any graduate of South Decatur High School pursuing a post-secondary degree in education or nursing. Student must have a "C+" average. School and community activities will be considered.
Sandusky Alumni Scholarship
This scholarship is established to help a student from North Decatur, that is a Clinton Township resident, pursue any post-secondary education.
Myer and Wilma Schreiber Memorial Scholarship
The mission of this scholarship is to support a Greensburg High School student attending a 4 year Baccalaureate program.
Howard G. Shake Scholarship
The mission of this scholarship is to support a North Decatur High School student who may have a difficult time receiving a post-secondary education.
Robert E. Simmonds Memorial Scholarship
The scholarship is for a Greensburg High School graduate who is pursuing a postsecondary degree in the mechanical arts/transportation industry.
Bonnie Springmeyer Nursing Scholarship
The mission of this scholarship is to help a Greensburg Community High School graduate, pursuing a degree in nursing. (Award will be paid at start of sophomore year of college.)
George Tanner Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship will help a NDHS or SDHS Student studying foreign language and/or teaching attend college.
James A. Volk Engineering Scholarship
The mission of this scholarship is to support a student pursuing a degree in engineering at any school with a Bachelor of Science in Engineering program. (Award will be paid at start of sophomore year of college.)
Loren and Mary York Scholarship
An endowed fund to be awarded to a North Decatur or South Decatur High School student planning a career in education or teaching.
Zetterberg Music Scholarship
The mission of this scholarship is to help students seeking post-secondary training in music.

E. Wayne Baumgartle Agricultural Memorial Scholarship
The mission of this scholarship is to help South Decatur students seeking post-secondary training in agriculture or a related field. For more information, see Mr. Don Hudson.
Joanie Bostic Memorial Underclassman Award
This award shall be given annually to any underclassman student at Greensburg Community High School who displays Pirate school spirit for the purpose of attending any athletic, music, leadership or spiritual enrichment summer camp, as selected by the student. For more information regarding this award, see your guidance counselor.
Russell Corya Scholarship

DCCF Tribute Scholarship For Continuing Education
The mission of this scholarship is to help students over 18 years old and working, to continue their education at the Greensburg Community Learning Center.
Decatur County Purdue Ag Alumni Association Award
The mission of this award is to help Decatur County students continue their education in the school of agriculture at Purdue University.
First Federal Good Citizenship Award
This award is selected by school administrators and representatives of First Federal Savings & Loan; no application available.
Walter B. Lowe Continuing Education Scholarship
The purpose of this award is to help with tuition and expenses for an adult over 40 from Decatur County, who is working towards a 2 or 4 year or graduate degree.
William R.Rayner – Harold and Barbara Graue Scholarship

Cecelia Springmeyer Memorial Scholarship
Is established to help a Decatur County student seeking post secondary education from an accredited 4 year school. Ted & Marian Stout Scholarship
An endowed fund to be awarded to a member of the First Baptist Church of Greensburg. Recipients need to exhibit Christian values, attend a 2 or 4 year post-secondary education, have good scholastic standing, have established educational and life goals and not be a member of the Cox family or the Church scholarship committee. Daryl R. Wolter Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship is to support a North Decatur Baseball player. For more information regarding this award, see your guidance counselor.

The Decatur County Community Foundation has been selected as the agency to administer the Lilly Endowment Community Scholarship Program. Information about this scholarship is mailed to students at Decatur County high schools who have a 2.5 gpa or above. The application will be available in school guidance offices or the Decatur County Community Foundation office, typically in November.
Decatur County Community Foundation Scholars
Up to four students who are not selected as Lilly Endowment Community Scholars will receive $5,000 over their four years of Education.
Lilly Endowment Community Scholarship
This scholarship is open to any student residing in Decatur County who has at least a 2.5 GPA. One full tuition and $900 for books and fees will be awarded to a student who will be attending an accredited Indiana institution.
