The Decatur County Community Foundation
recognizes that a post-secondary education is a vital part of our future.
Because of the desire to promote the future of Decatur County, the Foundation
manages a variety of scholarship programs.
The following scholarships are managed through the
Decatur County Community Foundation. More information and applications can be
found in the Decatur County Community Foundation scholarship application, which
is available at the Foundation office or at the Guidance offices of Decatur
County High Schools.

J-N-J Chapman Scholarship
The mission of this scholaship is for a ND/SD student seeking additional training for vocational or associates degree - preference to renwal student/HS senior/or any past graduate.

The mission of this scholarship is to help students seeking vocational training.

E. Wayne Baumgartle Agricultural Memorial Scholarship
The mission of this scholarship is to help students seeking post-secondary training in agriculture or a related field.

Joanie Bostic Memorial Senior Pirate Spirit Award
Established to honor Joanie Bostic’s spirit, faith, love of young people and enthusiasm for Greensburg athletics. The scholarship is to recognize a senior who shows outstanding school spirit by participation or support of athletics or music.

Stewart G. Corya Purdue University Engineering Scholarship
The mission of this scholarship is to support a student graduating in the top 15% of their class and will be seeking an engineering degree at Purdue. Can be used with other scholarships.

Thelma E. Corya Indiana University Kelley School of Business Scholarship
The mission of this scholarship is to support a student graduating in the top 10% of their class and will be seeking a business degree at Indiana University.

The mission of this scholarship is to help students seeking training in the field of Allied Health.

Henry and Ruby Ernstes Family Scholarships
The mission of this scholarship is to help students with post-secondary education. Preference given to those attending Marian College and majoring in nursing.

This scholarship is open to Greensburg High School students pursuing a degree in art.

Joyce J. Green Memorial Scholarship
The mission of this scholarship is to support a student pursing a degree at a 2 or 4 year institution.

William H. Griewe Scholarship
This scholarship is for any student who has graduated from a Decatur County school. Is awarded by the Optimist Club.

Steve Hunter Memorial Scholarship
The mission of this scholarship is to help students seeking vocational training.

Delmar & Janet Knecht Family Memorial Scholarship
The mission of this scholarship is to support a student pursing a 2 or 4 year degree, who has a B average or above.

Burney and Lucy Lehman Scholarship
The Burney and Lucy Lehman Scholarships will be given to students in the Greensburg and Decatur County School systems, disbursed
for up to four years of post-secondary education. The intent of the scholarship is to make a significant impact on graduating seniors who may have had a difficult time attending a post-secondary school.

Campbell “Buck” McIntyre Scholarship
The mission of this scholarship is to help South Decatur students seeking post-secondary training in secondary education, science or agriculture science. (Award will be paid at start of sophomore year of college.)

The mission of this scholarship is to support a Greensburg High School student attending a 4 year Baccalaureate program.

The mission of this scholarship is to support a North Decatur High School student who may have a difficult time attending a post-secondary Education.

The mission of this scholarship is to support a student pursuing a degree in engineering at any school with a Bachelor of Science in Engineering. (Award will be paid at start of sophomore year of college.)

The mission of this scholarship is to help students seeking post-secondary training in music.

Bonnie Springmeyer Nursing Scholarship
The mission of this scholarship is to help a Greensburg Community High School graduate student pursuing a degree in nursing. (Award will be paid at start of sophomore year of college.)

Krista Eldridge Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship is for a North Decatur student with a GPA of 2.5 or above, pursuing any post-secondary education. Preference given to those going to Purdue or those pursuing a major in Human and Social Services. (Award will be paid at start of second semester.)

Lake Santee Women's Club Scholarship
The mission of this scholarship is to support a student who is a full time resident of Lake Santee intending on pursuing any post-secondary education.

Sandusky Alumni Scholarship
This scholarship is established to help a student from North Decatur, that is a Clinton Township resident, pursue any post-secondary education.

GCHS Class of 1961 Scholarship
This scholarship will help the 61st student at Greensburg Community High school attend college.

George Tanner Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship will help a NDHS or SDHS Student studying foreign language and/or teaching attend college.

Joanie Bostic Memorial Underclassman Award
This award shall be given annually to any underclassman student at GreensburgCommunity High School who displays Pirate school spirit for the purpose of attending any athletic, music, leadership or spiritual enrichment summer camp as selected by the student. For more information regarding this award, see your guidance counselor.

Knights of Columbus, Council 1042 Scholarship
Is established to help a student who is the child of a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 1042. For more information, contact the Knights of Columbus.

Walter B. Lowe Continuing Education Scholarship
The purpose of this award is to pay tuition and expenses for an adult over 40 from Decatur County, who is working towards a 2 or 4 year or graduate degree.

Ted & Marian Stout Scholarship
An endowed fund to be awarded to a member of the First Baptist Church of Greensburg. Recipients need to exhibit Christian values, attend a 2 or 4 year post-secondary education, have good scholastic standing, have established educational and life goals and not be a member of the Cox family or the Church scholarship committee. DCCF Tribute Scholarship For Continuing Education
The mission of this scholarship is to help students over 18 years old and working, to continue their education at the Greensburg Community Learning Center.
The Decatur County Community Foundation has been selected as the agency to
administer the Lilly Endowment Community Scholarship Program. Information about
this scholarship is mailed to students at Decatur County high schools who have
a 2.5 gpa or above. The application will be available in school guidance
offices or the Decatur County Community Foundation office.

Lilly Endowment Community Scholarship
This scholarship is open to any student residing in Decatur County who has at least a 2.5 GPA. Two full tuition and $800 for books and fees will be awarded to students attending an accredited Indiana institution.

Decatur County Community Foundation Scholars
Five students who are not selected Lilly Endowment Community Scholars will receive $8,000 during their 4 year Education.

Cecelia Springmeyer Memorial Scholarship
Is established to help a Decatur County student seeking post secondary education from an accredited 4 year school.
